Popular Fuji musician, Alhaji Abass Akande, popularly known as Obesere, has been arrested by the Police in Lagos State for allegedly raping a 29-year-old businesswoman, Olanike Olaiya in his Okota residence.

The sad woman, who reported the matter to Police, also narrated her ordeal in the hands of the musician who is known for large-crowd shows that fascinate society women. Ms Olanike said:

“I got to know Obesere through one of my friends, Mrs Bola Okoro. She told me that Obesere would assist me in my business. I deal in office equipment and when I contacted Obesere, he asked me to meet him in his family house at Okota. When I met him, I introduced my business to him and he promised to connect me to some of his friends in Dubai who would sell goods to me on credit. 

“After the discussion, he started demanding for sex and I refused and when I wanted to leave, he insisted I should sleep over in his house because it was late and he claimed that it was dangerous to go out late in the night in his area...

“I thought he was a responsible man and I decided to sleep over, but at the dead of the night, he came into the room where I slept and pounced on me. 

“He raped me and afterwards inserted a ring he wore into my private part and I started bleeding. He hurriedly left me in the room saying he had an appointment to fulfil. I could not bear the trauma and the bleeding and I reported the matter to the police.”

According to Vanguard, Obesere was first arrested last Wednesday by the Police at Isolo, where Ms Olanike had reported the matter. He was subsequently released on administrative bail.

He was later re-arrested on Monday, when medical examination conducted on the lady revealed that she was actually raped and the Divisional Police Officer, Isolo, Adamu Ibrahim, was said to have ordered the transfer of the matter to State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.

His arrest was made possible through a Warrant Of Arrest issued by the Chief Magistrate of Isolo Magistrate Court, Mrs Kike Bukola Ayeye, as he had declined to honour several police invitations sent to his house at Johnson Famiye Street, Canal Estate, Ago, Okota.

But in his reaction, Obesere said he and Ms Olanike are lovers
Police sources also said Obesere in his statement denied ever raping her, rather he claimed she was his lover and they made love when she visited him. 

A source said Obesere claimed he asked her to go to a private hospital for treatment when she complained that she was bleeding, but he was surprised when she reported to the police that she was raped.

The quest to make fast cash is really driving men crazy these days, the house of God is not even spared:

A gang of robbers invaded Vine Branch Church on Queen Elizabeth Road, Ibadan, Oyo State on Sunday, killing two policemen. Some church members also sustained injuries as they attempted to flee the scene. 

It was gathered that the robbers attacked the church to snatch Offering and Tithe boxes. The robbers were said to have pretended to be worshippers as they joined the congregation during the service. 

It was learnt that they struck soon after the Tithe and Offerings were collected...

According to Punch, a van with some bank officers and two policemen drove into the church immediately the offerings were collected to take them to safety. When the bank officer entered the church, the robbers were said to have attacked him, but they later realised that he had not taken possession of the money.

Realising they had made a failed attempt, the robbers shot into the air and attacked the policemen waiting in the van outside. They killed the policemen and took away their rifles. The driver was, however, spared because one of the robbers was said to have observed that he was not a policeman.

An eyewitness, who did not give her name, said the entire operation showed a lot of planning by the robbers.

She said, “No one would have expected that the robbers were among the congregation. They must have visited the church more than once during the planning stage to get information on how the church keeps its offerings.

“Many church members did not know until today that the offerings are immediately taken away after they are collected. How these robbers got to know how the church treats the offerings is a mystery. I am sure this was not the first time they worshipped with us.”

The Police in Oyo State say people should not panic that they are on top of the situation.

In a startling revelation the daughter of President of Ugandan, Yoweri ­Museveni, confessed during a radio talk show in Mbarara, Western Uganda, that she is homosexual, and that she is revealing this fact as a protest to the anti-gay law that was recently signed into law by her own father.

Diana Kamuntu, President Museveni’s daughter said though she loves her father unconditionally, she does not agree with his government’s anti-gay stance, and that she will fight against it.

In the words of the President's daughter: “I am gay, I am homosexual. I have known this since I was a little girl. Also, I have been Christian all of my life, so I will not tolerate any law of this supposedly democratic nation, that will place hate on any person just because of what his or her sexual orientation happens to be.

“Now that I finally revealed my sexual orientation, I put myself in front of this new law and I will let our people decide what to do with me,” she said with a lot of emotion.

It would be recalled that the Ugandan President signed a law that imposes tough penalties for homosexual acts, a move that has been condemned from around the world and may jeopardize Uganda’s relationship with the United States and other Western nations.

Three brothers in Satellite Town, Fatia, Sakiru and Tunji Osun, have killed their brother, Yusuf, over the house that their father left when he died. According to witnesses, their father willed the house to Yusuf, who wasn't the eldest, but the eldest, Fatia decided to sell the house for N15m, take N10m and give his brothers N5m to share. Yusuf did not agree, and the rest, is history.

Three brothers have been arrested by the police in connection with the murder of their blood brother. Fatia Osun (31), Sakiru Osun (20) and their step-brother, Tunji (34), were accused of killing Yusuf Osun (27) over N15 million which was to be realized from the sale of a house left behind by their late father.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, Feb. 27, at Kano street in Mobile Estate, Satellite Town, Lagos and left residents of the estate and its environs jittery.

Fatia Osun, who is a Muslim cleric and is popularly known and referred to as an “Alfa”, is alleged to have connived with his younger brother Sakiru, to kill Yusuf so that they would share the entire amount. The late Yusuf Osun was strangled with a 2.5mm wire by Fatia while his other brothers stabbed him.

After the murder, the half brother of the perpetrators and the deceased, Tunji, sent a text message to a neighbour, telling him that Yusuf had passed away. He informed the neighbour that Yusuf had gotten drunk, slipped in the bathroom and hit his head.

However, his story was suspect because Yusuf was a known teetotaller,  and suspicious neighbours came to the house and found Yusuf’s body with all the wounds. They alleged that Tunji assisted his brothers in moving Yusuf’s body to the bathroom and cleaning out the sitting room, where the incident had occurred. 

At this point, the crowd turned into a mob, and beat up the brothers before informing the police who promptly arrested the brothers. 

The genesis
According to neighbours, their late father had willed the house to Yusuf because of long lasting disagreements that he had with Fatia, the eldest over his lifestyle. But, said neighbours also claimed that the men’s father failed to leave a written will behind.

After the death of their parents, Alfa proposed the sale of the house to his brothers but the late Yusuf objected to the sale of the property which was valued at
N15 million. Yusuf instead suggested that they rent the house out and move to the boys-quarters because to him, the house was their only hope for long term survival.

His refusal led to a disagreement between with his brothers, which resulted in a bloody fight. It was alleged that in that fighting, his brother, Fatia, stabbed him six times. Yusuf however survived this fight and was admitted to hospital where he recovered after spending almost 3 weeks.

Upon his release from the hospital, Yusuf apparently accepted to sell the house and divide the money as his brothers wanted, so the house was put up for sale. Eventually, a buyer showed interest and offered
N15 million.

Upon reaching an agreement with the prospective buyer, the eldest, Fatia, informed his brothers that he was entitled to
N10 million of the money, while they would have to make do with
N5 million amongst themselves.

The neighbours said that Yusuf had the previous night asked people to lend him N1,000 to go out since he wasn’t comfortable sleeping in their home.

Neighbours react
When a TelegraphNG correspondent visited the neighbourhood, the residents were all still in shock.
A neighbour who pleaded anonymity, said he was surprised that Alfa could carry out such a dastardly act adding that she never imagined that such a thing will happen in their estate.
“That means, his going to mosque and the whole Alfa thing is all camouflage, we all need to be wary about people around us, how can someone be so inhuman and callous to kill another person not to talk of killing his own brother over worldly things”.

A neighbour, Yinka Adewale, said one of the accused and the most senior (Fatia) was also responsible for the death of their late father.
“His plan was to sell the house long time ago, the death of his brother is not surprising to me because his father died mysteriously, so did his mother. He was taking out all those that seemed like a stumbling block to him,” Yinka said.
“Something of this nature has never happened nor heard of within this vicinity, Mobile Estate is a peace place to live. Its a sad event, I don’t even want to talk about it again. Its just so painful” another resident lament.

Confession
During interrogation, Sakiru, one of the accused who is also the youngest in the family, said his elder brother promised to send him abroad so he can have a good life if he took part in eliminating their brother, Yusuf.

Investigations are currently ongoing at the Area E command Police station, Lagos and will be transferred to the Panti police station Yaba for further investigation.

Twin explosions rocked a football viewing centre in Ajilari ward, Jere Council area of Maiduguri, in Borno State today March 1st killing several football fans, Vanguard reports.

The Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), said to have been planted by suspected Boko Haram terrorists at the viewing centre at Ajilari Railway Cross, exploded at about 6pm,  killing many fans, while several others sustained injuries.

A residents of Ajilari told a Vanguard correspondent that, “Some suspected terrorists in two Toyota Hilux Pick Up vans, pretending to be  firewood suppliers, detonated the bombs near the football viewing centre,  resulting in loss of several lives.

Two women have been arrested and jailed for trafficking children and making them beg on the streets of Lagos with fake wounds.

The Family Court 1 in Yaba Magistracy has jailed two women for trafficking and using children to beg for alms in Victoria Island area of Lagos.

The women, Amarachi Eke from Imo State and Chioma Eze from Awka in Anambra State, were arraigned at the court on Wednesday on a two-count charge of using underaged children to beg for alms. And they pleaded guilty to the charges.

Magistrate Y.O. Aje-Afunwa sentenced them to two months imprisonment each; one month for each count charge and they are also to pay a fine of N5,000. The jail terms will run concurrently.

In sentencing them, Aje-Afunwa said there was the need for the convicts to learn some useful lessons in prison and that since they were still young, they should engage in something more productive rather than using kids to beg on the street.

According to her, they have to learn  the hard way in prison not to engage in something bad in the society, believing that the prison would transform their lives for the better.

The two women were arrested at Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island recently while begging with two kids, aged six and nine years. The stomach and legs of the kids were plastered with ointment and wool to give the impression that they were suffering from serious burns to attract public sympathy.
An Environmentalist, Betty Albert, was driving by and saw the gory sight of the nine-year old boy lying on the ground and decided to assist the victim.

She parked her car and came out and told Chioma that she should be allowed to take the boy to the hospital.
On hearing this, Chioma asked the boy to run away which he did, but unfortunately, he was caught by a policeman who was on duty nearby.
The Environmentalist asked the policeman to chase after the boy and he was caught and brought back to the scene.
“I asked the boy whether something was wrong with him and he said he was okay. I asked him whether I could remove the plasters and wool on his stomach and he said yes. So I removed them and found out that the boy was alright.
“The boy told me that his younger brother was at Eko Hotel with  another woman also begging for alms and that they should help him to get the boy. The boy was brought with the other woman,” Betty explained.
The boy’s leg was also plastered with ointment and wool to deceive people that he had been badly burnt and needed help.

Investigation revealed that Chioma Eze, from Anambra State, had gone to Awka and told the children’s parents that she wanted to assist them send the children to school in Lagos and she was allowed to take them. But unknown to the parents, their children were brought to beg for alms in Lagos.

Betty had been following the case for almost two weeks to ensure justice was done.
The women were arrested by police from Bar Beach Police Station, while the case was later transferred to Adeniji Adele Police Station.

The case was again transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba where it was charged to court on Wednesday.

According to Betty, the in-law of one of the women had been threatening her life because of the way she had pursued the case, alleging that the in-law to Chioma said he had marked her face and would ensure that she was eliminated.

The Lagos State Office of Youth and Social Department has been following the case and has expressed disgust at the way the children were ill-treated by the women.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Social Development, Dr. Dolapo Badru, said it is lamentable that Anambra State had continued to be a place where people were brought to Lagos to beg for alms.

“How can these women be so callous to have brought these children from Anambra State to beg for alms in Lagos? They even make the children feign injury and they don’t have homes in Lagos and now they will say we are deporting their people. What we are saying is that these are things the public won’t know,” he stated.

He said Lagos “would not tolerate a situation where Anambra State would continue to infest the state with beggars and later cry wolf that we are deporting people that have no homes to stay in the state.”
Badru vowed that the government would go after such people using kids to solicit for alms, while decrying the new strategy now being in used to attract public sympathy, saying it is inhuman to treat kids  that way.

He said the punishment meted out to the women would serve as deterrent to others who might want to engage in such despicable act.

Bad spirits are on the loose and not even the homes of pastors are spared these days. A pastor in Lagos has pleaded with a court to dissolve his 20-year marriage after he revealing that his loving wife cheated on him.

44yrs old Pastor Olufemi Adewumi, who lives at 12 Ajiboye Close, Agbado Oke-Odo, Agege, disclosed that his wife is threatening his life, stealing and also commits adultery amongst other things.

The pastor said: "I caught my wife and one of her lovers in our house sometime in 2013. She was not expecting me to come home at that time, else she would not have invited her lover."

The case was heard by a Customary Court in Orile-Agege area of the state despite the absence of the wife.

The pastor who looked very sad had told the court that his wife was adulterous and kept bad company. He also told the court that he tried in vain to keep his wife away from her bad friends.

He said money also got missing in their room on some occasions and described his wife as a fetish woman who threatened his life. “I want the dissolution of the marriage and custody of my children,” he pleaded.

In his ruling, the Court President, Adegboyega Omilola, said that the marriage had broken down irreparably.

“Since the inception of the hearing, the woman failed to appear before the court; a court summon was served to her, but she failed to come. The court cannot continue to wait for the woman that failed to honour the court.

“So, the marriage is dissolved today. You have ceased to be husband and wife, you shall go your separate ways unmolested,” the court ruled and granted the Pastor custody of their children, aged 12 and 15.

“Take care of the children and ensure you see to their well being,” Pastor Olufemi was advised.

1. Orgasms can relieve pain.
Got a headache? Maybe you should have sex after all. "There is some evidence that orgasms can relieve all kinds of pain—including pain from arthritis, pain after surgery and even pain during childbirth," notes Lisa Stern, RN, MSN, a nurse practitioner who works with Planned Parenthood in Los Angeles and blogs at Gynfizz.com. "The mechanism is largely due to the body's release of a chemical called oxytocin during orgasm," she says. "Oxytocin facilitates bonding, relaxation and other positive emotional states." While the pain relief from orgasm is short-lived—usually only about eight to 10 minutes—she points to past research indicating that even thinking about sex can help alleviate pain.

2. Condom use doesn't affect orgasm quality.
In case you're wondering if a condom has anything to do with the quality of your orgasm, don't. "Women are equally likely to experience orgasm with or without a condom, dispelling myths that condoms don't make for good sex," says Debby Herbenick, PhD, a research scientist at Indiana University and author of Because It Feels Good. "In fact, condoms may help a couple spend more time having sex, as a man doesn't have to 'pull out' quickly if he's worried about ejaculating too soon," she says. If your guy is resistant to wearing a condom because of lack of sensation, consider manual stimulation first, before intercourse, so he can have an equally enjoyable experience.

3. Thirty percent of women have trouble reaching orgasm.
If you've ever had trouble climaxing, you're not alone. According to Planned Parenthood statistics, as many as 1 in 3 women have trouble reaching orgasm when having sex. And as many as 80 percent of women have difficulty with orgasm from vaginal intercourse alone. Clitoral stimulation during intercourse can help, says Stern, but so can medical treatment. "Female sexual dysfunction (FSD), which encompasses the inability to orgasm, is very common—as high as 43 percent, according to some surveys—and has been a topic of much debate and medical investigation lately," she says. "For some women, topical testosterone therapies or some oral medications can be helpful, but few medical treatments have solid evidence behind them." Because FSD may be associated with certain medical conditions, be sure to see your doctor to rule out things like thyroid disease, depression or diabetes.

4. Finding your G-spot may improve the likelihood of orgasm.
Can you identify your G-spot? The "G" refers to Ernst Gräfenberg, MD, a German gynecologist who is credited with "discovering" it in the 1950s, and sex experts have long touted this area of female genitalia, which is believed to contain a large number of nerve endings, as the key to helping women achieve longer and stronger orgasm. But it's a controversial topic. Researchers in England refuted its existence recently, even after Italian researchers supposedly found the spot on ultrasound and published their findings in The Journal of Sexual Medicine. While the location may be slightly different in all women, it's most often found inside the vagina and is characterized by a "rougher" texture.

5. Orgasm gets better with age.
Sure, there are plenty of things to gripe about when it comes to age, but your sex life may actually improve—specifically the quality and frequency of orgasm, reports Dr. Herbenick. "Orgasm becomes easier with age," she says. "As an example, while 61 percent of women ages 18 to 24 experienced orgasm the last time they had sex, 65 percent of women in their 30s did and about 70 percent of women in their 40s and 50s did." Though the survey didn't indicate why orgasms come easier with age, we can assume that as women become more sexually experienced, they have more confidence in the bedroom and therefore enjoy themselves more. Additionally, the trust and intimacy that most women experience in long-term relationships can help improve sexual confidence as well.

6. Women who mix things up in the bedroom have more frequent orgasm.
If you have trouble reaching orgasm during intercourse, consider switching things up, says Dr. Herbenick. "It is significantly easier for women to experience orgasm when they engage in a variety of sex acts as opposed to just one act," she says. "For example, vaginal sex plus oral sex would be linked to a higher likelihood of orgasm than either one of them alone. This may be because more sex acts mean that people spend more time having sex."

7. A woman's sexual self-esteem can affect the quality of her orgasms.
Research shows that how a woman feels about her genitals is linked to the quality of her orgasms. "As a women's health clinician, I can vouch for the fact that every vagina looks different and there is no 'perfect' way for a vagina to look," says Stern. "As long as your vagina is pain-free and you don't have any abnormal discharge, sores or other medical problems, you can consider yourself healthy and normal." Increase your orgasm potential by increasing your confidence, she says. "It's important to treat yourself the way you would want others to treat you—send yourself healthy, positive messages about yourself and your body." Another trick: Pull out a hand mirror and take a look! Getting to know yourself down there is the first step in feeling confident about your parts.

8. There is an orgasm "gap."
While it's true that a small number of men have trouble with orgasm, sex experts report that it's rare. Instead, a significant percentage of women report not having had an orgasm the last time they had sex, even when their male partner thought they had. "We still have an orgasm gap," notes Dr. Herbenick. "While 85 percent of men thought their partner had an orgasm during their most recent episode of sex, only 64 percent of women reported having an orgasm." The cure? It's complicated, says Dr. Herbenick, but women who are comfortable with and understand their body's pleasure points can often learn to orgasm regularly.

9. In rare cases, orgasm can happen without genital stimulation.
We've all heard about women who can orgasm while sitting on a train or while getting a massage, but it's no urban legend. Experts say it's a real phenomenon. "I had a friend who had an orgasm every time she used the treadmill," says Stern. "If that happened to all of us, we'd be a much more physically fit society!" But, humor aside, there's an explanation for why this occurs. "The reason for spontaneous orgasms during certain activities is twofold—increased blood flow to the genitals and vibration of or contact with the clitoris. The increased blood flow and the general relaxation of a massage can lead to orgasm sometimes, too."

10. For most women, it takes a while…
Many women take longer to climax than their male partners, and that's perfectly normal, says Stern. In fact, according to statistics, most women require at least 20 minutes of sexual activity to climax. "If you find that your partner often reaches orgasm before you do, there are ways to help him slow down," she says. "Mental exercises can sometimes work, and so can firm pressure around the base of the penis. If premature ejaculation is a concern, your partner may want to see a primary care doctor or urologist to find some techniques that might help."
