Lee Thompson Young Death Certificate Released, Suicide Confirmed...

Two weeks after Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life, the actor's official death certificate has been released.

It confirms that the 29-year old - whose body was discovered inside his North Hollywood apartment by the building's landlord - died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

The document also states that Young used a handgun for the act.

The rising star first appeared as the title character in 1998's The Famous Jett Jackson and did not leave a suicide note at the scene.

He had starred on Rizzoli & Isles since the premiere of that TNT hit, portraying Detective Barry Frost.

Friends and family members remain stunned and confused over the loss, with rumors of depression and an unusual religion affiliation being blamed for Young's death.
